Silvia Trappa (1986) is an italian artist that works and lives in Brescia.
Her research is articulated between sculpture and drawing, it is based on the historical and traditional elements of different cultures and how these apply to life in contemporary society.
Starting from the use of different materials, which acquire a significant value within the artwork, she deals with topics such as childhood (understood as a life metaphor), man / nature relationship, and the representation of the feminine.
For several years now, she has been collaborating with galleries, schools and foundations creating artistic workshops for children and for diversity. Since 2021 she teaches illustration and sculpture at LABA Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia.
